This year is the 20th year of July as International Group B Strep Awareness Month being observed. It was created to bring awareness of group B strep to the general public. Since then it has been a focal opportunity for organizations and individuals around the world to tell their stories, share information, and promote healthy outcomes for babies worldwide. Recognize the signs of GBS infection in babies:👶🧸

🌡️ Body Temperature - fever or low or unstable temperature
🔊 Sounds - cry, whimpering, grunting
🍼 Eating Habits - feeds poorly, refuses to eat, or not waking for feedings
🤢 Behavior - irritability, vomiting, not moving arm/legs, body stiffening
😴 Sleeping Habits - sleeping too much ☁️ Breathing - fast, slow, or difficult breathing
😷 Appearance of Skin - blue, gray, or pale due to lack of oxygen, blotchy/red skin
