Description The OMRON Body Composition Monitor and Scale with Bluetooth connectivity (BCM-500) performs smart tracking of a comprehensive array of these six body metrics: Body Weight, Body Fat percentage, Visceral Fat, Skeletal Muscle percentage, Resting Metabolism and BMI.
The BCM-500 measures body composition based on human physiology. Muscles, blood vessels and bones are body tissue, which contain high water content and conduct electricity easily. Body fat is tissue which stores little water and, therefore, has little electric conductivity. This electric conductivity is also known as “impedance.” This monitor uses the Bioelectric Impedance (BI) method, which sends a low-level electrical current through your body to determine the amount of water in each tissue. Along with your height, weight, age and gender information, this monitor determines your body composition.
This OMRON monitor and scale stores up to 30 readings for four profiles, tracking your progress.
