Check Your Thermometer
These cleaning instructions are recommended for BV Medical thermometers. This may or may not work on other branded thermometers. These cleaning instructions work for the following thermometers:
- BV Medical Digital Thermometer (40-101-000-L)
- BV Medical Basic Digital Thermometer (40-100-010-L)
- BV Medical 60-Second Waterproof Digital Thermometer (40-130-240-L)
- BV Medical AnimaTemps Dog Digital Thermometer (40-208-000)
You can find the model number on the back of the thermometer or you can click and view the product to check if it matches.
How to Clean Your Thermometer
The best way to clean the thermometer tip is by applying a disinfectant (e.g. 70% ethyl alcohol) with a damp cloth. The waterproof thermometers can be immersed in liquid or lukewarm water for thorough cleaning disinfection, but if they are not waterproof then do not immerse them in any liquid. Let dry before use. It is also strongly recommended to use probe covers to prevent cross infection.
