Are you wondering what a pedometer is? BV Medical is here to explain what it is and how to use it.
What is a Pedometer?
A pedometer is an instrument used to record distance a person covers on foot by responding to the body motion at each step. To put it simply, a pedometer counts your steps.
Pedometers are usually inexpensive and can be a great motivational instrument to get moving. They can be a little companion on your journey to get your steps.
How to Use a Pedometer
These instructions for use are applicable to the BV Medical Pocket Pedometer. Always refer to your pedometer's instruction manual for specifics. This is guidance for the BV Medical Pocket Pedometer and may not apply to your pedometer.
1. Getting Started. Pull the battery insulator out to activate the pedometer. If the display does not automatically show or if there are abnormal characters then you can perform a 'SYSTEM RESET' by pressing the SYSTEM RESET button on the back of the unit using a pin or paper clip. This will revert it back to the default setting.
2. Set It Up. Depending on your pedometer, you can customize it to best suit your needs. BV Medical's Pocket Pedometer can be customized for distance measurement, calories, time, target steps, and memory.
3. Clip or Wear Your Pedometer. Find the most comfortable place to put your pedometer. Depending on your pedometer, you may have to position it a certain way. The BV Medical Pocket Pedometer has a 3D sensor which captures forward, sideways, and upward movements. What does this mean? Place it where it will be the most comfortable for you.
